Semi-Static Canyoning Rope
The NURIA 8.9 is a Type B semi-static canyoning rope developed for experienced canyoners looking for high abrasion resistance without compromising safety or performance. Its hybrid aramid and polyamide sheath offers greater abrasion resistance than conventional ropes, while its polyamide core provides appropriate energy absorption and impact force performance.
The rope is constructed using the Full-ARMOUR System, which combines the properties of its materials to ensure compliance with the requirements of the EN 1891 Type B certification. It also incorporates the TITAN System, providing additional safety during use.
The NURIA 8.9 also features the ECO System, a pre-shrinking and waterproofing treatment made with PFC-Free components, free from C6 and C8 fluorocarbons. This treatment prevents excessive water absorption and limits the increase in the rope’s diameter.
Please note: the presence of aramid in the sheath results in lower resistance to UV rays. Therefore, it is especially important to protect the rope from prolonged exposure to sunlight and store it in a dry place protected from direct sunlight.

ECO System
The ECO System finish provides impermeability to the rope and greater resistance to abrasion, increasing the durability of the rope. We introduced PFC-free compounds in order to deliver durable and waterproof performance without the environmental concerns associated with long-chain fluorocarbons elements.
Full Armour System
Thanks to its Full-ARMOUR system, the synergy between materials is optimal and ensures compliance with all the requirements of the certification as semi-static EN1891 Type B.
Titan System
The Titan System is a patented rope manufacturing system which provides significant improvements on the rope.
It incorporates a third structure constituted by a series of filaments running parallel to the rope axis inside the sheath structure, thus transforming it into an element of “armour plating”. With this system, even if the sheath undergoes longitudinal damage it does not tear.
